To illustrate the durability of the welded tubular construction, a 4000-lb SUV was driven over the scale base. Prior to this procedure, a 50-lb NIST certified calibration weight was placed on the scale yielding a result of 50.0 lbs. Following the procedure, a second measurement was taken with the calibration weight which again yielded 50.0 lbs-indicating the scale withstood the abuse without damage. The general-purpose base features a two-part polyurethane finish which provides excellent wear and abrasion protection, and mild steel base platter. The optional mobility kit includes a 36" tall column with handles, four 3"-dia locking swivel casters, and indicator mounting plate. What's included: base, indicator, 16"H steel column, and AC adapter.
